Role Purpose:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the Emiratisation Agenda within International Wealth & Premier Banking (IWPB). This role is based at Head Office and focuses on the bank's strategic commitment to national talent development. The successful candidate will help reconfigure the operating model to prioritize local capabilities by restructuring key operational functions, bringing previously offshored roles back onshore, and contributing to the UAE’s vision for a sustainable and empowered workforce. The role offers high-level exposure and an opportunity to drive significant, lasting impact. This role will support the Emiratisation agenda for IWPB across the UAE, including HSBC Tower and branches.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive the execution of the IWPB Emiratisation Agenda, ensuring alignment with strategy and national objectives.
  • Lead the transition of offshored roles back onshore, designing a structure that supports Emirati resourcing.
  • Develop, manage, and track project plans, timelines, risk logs, and status reports.
  • Partner with stakeholders across HR, Operations, Compliance, and Talent Acquisition for seamless implementation.
  • Build and deliver governance packs and reporting dashboards for leadership and steering committees.
  • Identify and manage risks, interdependencies, and blockers across functions.
  • Support Talent and Emiratisation teams in developing recruitment, onboarding, and upskilling strategies for Emirati hires.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, transparency, and excellence in delivery.
  • Lead strategic change programs.
  • Understand country priorities, regulatory requirements, and market challenges related to the program.
  • Coordinate with Market and Global transformation teams.
  • Work closely with stakeholders at all levels across functions, managing matrix and cross-functional teams.
  • Act as the key contact within IWPB for local and regional delivery partners and teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships across the business.
  • Coordinate activities to avoid duplication or overlap.
  • Collaborate with leadership for timely and accurate reporting.
  • Enhance team communication and collaboration.
  • Work collaboratively across IWPB and DBS functions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in relevant areas.
  • Model HSBC values as a leader in IWPB.
  • Continuously reassess operational risks.
  • Adhere to internal controls, procedures, and policies.
