Job summary

Khazna Data Centers seeks a Planner to deliver and review project plans by coordinating internal resources, vendors, and processes to ensure on-time project delivery within budget. You will schedule multiple data center sites and align with Khazna’s methodology, adapting to varying procedures.

The role requires 7–10 years of onsite project planning experience, data center exposure, and proficiency with Primavera and MS-Project. Strong communication and team leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or suitable relevant experience in project planning, civil/mechanical/electrical disciplines.
• PRINCE2 or PMP, PMI or APMP certified.
• 7-10 years’ experience in project planning with onsite construction exposure.
• Data center experience is desirable.
• Scheduling in Primavera and MS-Project.
• Proven ability to deliver and critically review project schedules against scope, budget, and timelines.
• Detail oriented with strong communication, presentation, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop project baselines; monitor & control costs, resources, time and quality.
• Formulate operating budgets and assist in cost/time assessments.
• Lead project review meetings to evaluate schedule submissions and progress.
• Support development of commercial documents, contracts and bids.

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports covering engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Lead planning and scheduling across data center sites, supporting PM team and supervising site teams.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, sub-contractors and external agencies for schedules, approvals and clearances.
• Apply industry best practices and standards throughout project execution.
• Facilitate team and client meetings; keep stakeholders updated on timelines.
• Resolve/escalate issues promptly.

As part of our Emiratization initiatives, we are seeking a planner to deliver and review project plans by coordination of internal resources, vendors, and processes to ensure that Khazna’s projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results, within budget. Responsible for the project scheduling of several project sites. Coordination with other departments to ensure all aspects of the project plans are handled to the exact needs of the clients based on Khazna methodology with the ability to adapt to various internal and external procedures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop project baselines; monitor & control projects with respect to cost, resource deployment, time over-runs and quality compliance to ensure satisfactory execution of projects at project initiation phase and in project execution phase, in conjunction with suppliers /vendors as required
• Formulate operating budgets and support in execution of projects with cost & time assessments
• Organize and participate in project review meetings to evaluate project schedule submissions, project progress & de-bottlenecking
• Support development of commercial documents, contract agreement and bid documents
• Monitor and assess site activities to ensure completion of project within the time & cost parameters and effective resource utilization to maximize output
• Assist in preparation and review of weekly and monthly progress reports detailing progress, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
• Lead the project planning and scheduling activities across a number of data center construction sites, supporting the PM team and where required supervising site teams
• Liaising with Architects, Consultants, Contractors, Sub-Contractors & External Agencies for determining schedules, productivity, incorporation of technical specifications, approvals and obtaining statutory clearances
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
• Facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
• Hold regular status meetings with project team, provide updates and track project timelines to ensure that the projects are not overshooting the original plans.
• Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors.
• Resolve and/or escalation issues in a timely fashion.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

• Engineering Degree college Diploma or suitable relevant experience in key discipline Project Planning, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or associated Engineering Thermodynamics, chemical, production, mining, or structures.
• PRINCE 2 or PMP, PMI or APMP certified.
• 7-10 years’ of experience in relevant field with onsite construction experience
• Data center experience is desirable.
• Project scheduling in Primavera and MS-Project
• Proven ability to deliver and critically review project schedules with respect to scope, budget, and timelines.
• Detail oriented with communication, presentation, analytical, decision-making skills combined with excellent time management and organization skills.
