NEW UAE NATIONAL JOB REGIONAL JUNIOR ANALYST (UAE NATIONAL ROLE)
Dubai: Our client who is an international player in sea land air and logistics solutions serving more than 420 ports around the world across 5 continents with a fleet of around 600 vessels are looking to hire a conscientious Emirati Junior Analyst.

REPORTING TO: Business Development Manager

MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Analyst will act as the analytical backbone of the department who will have to optimise the performance of Intermodal and Business Development through the collection of vital business intelligence data (analytical studies, reports, building KPIs, dashboards, graphs, Market studies, etc.).

The main objective of the mission will be to leverage the available data to:

1. Inform the Intermodal and Business Development department about the current state of the business via crisp reports and follow-ups.
2. Provide quick, easy-to-digest access to insights about the regional Intermodal & Business Development performances and generate valuable recommendations and corrective measures.
3. Transform the collected data into actionable insights that will trigger specific actions and influence strategic business decisions.
4. Closely collaborate with Cost Control, Commercial Procurement, Logistics, and Operations teams to develop effective initiatives and strategies that will optimise costs and commercial development.
5. Build holistic Market study reports based on independent research on regional markets.
6. Capture Market intelligence & Competition info to assist the management on Investment decisions for crucial business development projects.
7. Construct and deliver detailed studies via reports on specific business cases with regards to Management's situational requirements.

Main Functions

1. Intermodal Performance follow-ups.
2. Prime task to build and monitor important KPIs of Intermodal on a Weekly / Monthly basis.
3. Monthly Intermodal KPIs follow-ups such as Negative Margin, Transport Order creation delays, etc.
4. Periodic update of Block Train Performance, Agent haulage & Inland Market share info to the Regional and Head office management teams.
5. Monitoring Carrier Haulage ratio & Carrier Haulage conversions.
6. In coordination with DRO Procurement & Regional Intermodal Officer, attribute allocation percentage to vendors within the several corridors and boost CEVA integration on TBL movements.

Intermodal Benchmarking

1. Build a benchmarking system aiming at tracking competition rates collected by the network.
2. Segregate buying and selling rates.
3. Further analysis to be done on transit clearance fees.

Regional Intermodal Data Management

1. Regional in charge of Intermodal systems making sure all Local teams have access to precise Intermodal statistics (to act as a bridge between Local teams and HO teams).
2. Verifying the accuracy of the corporate data via systematic investigation with Local teams.

Intermodal Financial KPIs & Agility Monitoring

1. Be in close contact with DRO Cost Control team.
2. Monitoring of Intermodal Revenue Margins and Costs.

Proposition and Monitoring of Agility Initiatives (Cost Savings and/or Cost Optimization)

1. Research & Studies on Business development topics.
2. Prepare timely Market study on the DRO Scope countries and Intra Regional Markets with regards to Market share, competition, commodities and trading partners should be updated.
3. Perform Research studies on specific Markets and projects in accordance with the business requirements and Management's interests.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must have a Higher Education/Postgraduate degree.
2. Strong knowledge in data analytics, business intelligence, finance.
3. Strong analytical skills and must be numeric.
4. Expert level of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
5. Proven experience with data visualisation tools & other business intelligence software (Qliksense).
6. Must be proficient in the use of the group standard information systems as well as be able to work with the entire Microsoft Office suite.
7. Strong ability to distil complex data into easy-to-understand analysis with actionable recommendations.
8. Extremely detail-oriented and organized, highly quantitative and creative, passionate about using data to guide strategy.
9. Dedicated self-starter, fast learner, ambitious and strong collaborator.
10. On-time deliveries on the reporting materials (Time Management).
