NEW UAE NATIONAL JOB: REGIONAL JUNIOR ANALYST (UAE NATIONAL ROLE)
Location: Dubai
Our client, an international leader in sea, land, air, and logistics solutions serving over 420 ports worldwide across 5 continents with a fleet of approximately 600 vessels, is seeking a conscientious Emirati Junior Analyst.
Reporting to: Business Development Manager
Mission and Responsibilities
The Regional Analyst will serve as the analytical backbone of the department, optimizing the performance of Intermodal and Business Development through vital business intelligence data collection, analytical studies, report building, KPIs, dashboards, graphs, market studies, etc.
The main objectives are to leverage data to:
- Inform the department about the current state of the business via clear reports and follow-ups.
- Provide quick, digestible insights into regional Intermodal & Business Development performance, along with recommendations and corrective actions.
- Transform data into actionable insights to influence strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with Cost Control, Commercial, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations teams to develop strategies that optimize costs and commercial growth.
- Build comprehensive market study reports based on independent research.
- Capture market intelligence and competition information to support investment decisions.
- Prepare detailed reports on specific business cases as required by management.
Main Functions
- Monitor Intermodal performance and KPIs weekly/monthly.
- Follow up on KPIs such as margin, delays, etc.
- Update on Block Train performance, agent haulage, and inland market share.
- Monitor carrier haulage ratios and conversions.
- Coordinate attribute allocations to vendors to enhance CEVA integration.
- Build benchmarking systems to track competition rates and analyze transit fees.
- Manage regional Intermodal data, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Monitor financial KPIs and develop agility initiatives for cost savings.
- Conduct market research and studies aligned with business needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Higher Education/Postgraduate degree.
- Strong knowledge in data analytics, business intelligence, and finance.
- Excellent analytical and numeric skills.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Qliksense).
- Proficiency with group standard information systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to simplify complex data into actionable insights.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative.
- Self-starter, fast learner, ambitious, and collaborative.
- Timely delivery of reports and materials.
