Job summary

SLR is seeking a UAE National Graduate Environmental Consultant to join our Planning and Assessment team in Dubai. The role offers structured training and mentoring while supporting ESIAs, environmental permitting and audits across the Middle East and Africa.

You will work alongside senior consultants, gain exposure to multidisciplinary projects, and develop your skills within one of the world’s leading environmental consultancies.

Qualifications

• UAE National (Emirati).
• Recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geography, Ecology, Sustainability, Natural Sciences or related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic advantageous.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a multidisciplinary consulting environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within project teams.
• Valid UAE driving licence advantageous but not essential.
• Willingness to undertake travel.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of ESIAs, environmental permitting and environmental planning projects.
• Assist with desktop environmental baseline studies, including review of legislation, policies, literature and datasets.
• Assist with technical reports, presentations and client deliverables.
• Assist with environmental data collection, interpretation and analysis.
• Participate in site visits, environmental inspections and field surveys under supervision.
• Assist with stakeholder engagement activities where required.
• Coordinate project documentation and contribute to QA processes.
• Support project managers with programme coordination and admin tasks.
• Assist with proposal preparation, research and business development activities.
• Develop knowledge of UAE environmental legislation and international standards (IFC, Equator Principles).
• Work with multidisciplinary teams across SLR's global network.
• Undertake training to build technical and consulting skills.
