Stafmed is recruiting a highly experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician for a full-time role at a leading UAE hospital. The candidate will manage a broad spectrum of acute and life‑threatening presentations in a fast-paced ED and provide clinical leadership to the team.

The role requires board certification in Emergency Medicine, recognition of Tier 1 qualifications, and 3–5 years post-specialisation experience, with licensing eligibility with DHA/DOH/MOHAP.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Recognised Tier 1 qualification (ABMS, Canadian RC, UK CCT/CCST, German Facharzt, French DES) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Emergency Medicine.
• Strong experience in managing critically ill, acutely unwell, and trauma patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, resuscitation, and management in the ED.
• Lead initial stabilisation of critically ill patients.
• Perform emergency procedures within scope of practice.
• Decide on admission, discharge, escalation, and referrals.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide leadership and supervision to junior doctors.
• Participate in emergency response, audits, teaching, and quality initiatives.
• Support development of emergency medicine services.

Education

Stafmed is currently recruiting a highly experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician for an exciting full-time position with a leading hospital in the UAE.

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician with extensive experience in managing a broad spectrum of acute, urgent, and life-threatening medical and surgical presentations.

The successful candidate will join a fast-paced, high-performing emergency department committed to delivering safe, efficient, evidence-based, and patient-centred emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, resuscitation, and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Manage a wide range of acute medical, surgical, traumatic, and critical presentations
• Lead the initial stabilisation and management of critically ill and injured patients
• Perform emergency procedures within the candidate’s scope of practice and expertise
• Make timely clinical decisions regarding admission, discharge, escalation, and specialist referral
• Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary and specialty teams
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior doctors and emergency department staff
• Participate in emergency response, resuscitation, and major incident management when required
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, patient safety, and quality standards
• Participate in departmental audit, teaching, education, and quality improvement initiatives
• Support the ongoing development and improvement of emergency medicine services

Qualifications

• Board certification or recognised specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine
• Recognised Tier 1 qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, German Facharzt, French DES, or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Emergency Medicine
• Strong experience in managing critically ill, acutely unwell, and trauma patients
• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP
