Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with acute injuries or illnesses in the emergency department
• Stabilize and manage critical conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, and other life-threatening emergencies
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment
• Collaborate with other specialists and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Administer medications and perform procedures such as suturing and intubation when necessary
• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
• Educate patients and their families on prevention of injuries and illnesses
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
• Adhere to hospital policies and protocols to ensure patient safety and confidentiality

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine
• Valid state medical license
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency medicine
• Proficiency in performing emergency procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
