Responsibilities
Assess and treat patients with acute injuries or illnesses in the emergency department
Stabilize and manage critical conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, and other life-threatening emergencies
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment
Collaborate with other specialists and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
Administer medications and perform procedures such as suturing and intubation when necessary
Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Educate patients and their families on prevention of injuries and illnesses
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
Adhere to hospital policies and protocols to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification in Emergency Medicine
Valid state medical license
Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency medicine
Proficiency in performing emergency procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
Willingness to work in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment
