Job summary

Iquest Management Consultants seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for maintenance and supervision of distribution substations, covering 132/11kV and related networks. You will handle emergencies and perform corrective maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety and reporting.

The role requires 5–8 years in electrical utilities or contracting/consulting, with fault-finding skills, and a GCC driving license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering with 5–8 years of field experience
• Experience with 132/11kV, 33/11-6.6kV, and 11-6.6/0.4kV substations
• Knowledge of ISO and Occupational Health & Safety practices

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise distribution substation equipment and respond to emergencies
• Troubleshoot faults on 33/11/6.6kV cables and perform corrective maintenance

Job description

Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University with minimum 5/8 years practical experience with an electrical utility and/or contracting/consulting organization. Should have adequate knowledge in relevant field for maintenance of 132/11kV, 33/11-6.6kV and 11-6.6/0.4kV substation equipment by applying standard procedures and safety practices. To have the quality of supervising and attending of complaint and emergencies and Corrective maintenance of distribution substation equipment, Mobile Diesel Generator connection & operation. To handle emergency breakdown complaints, trouble shooting and fault rectifications on distribution substation equipment. Should have experience in 33, 11 and 6.6 kV cable fault finding, identification and repairing of power and pilot cable faults through testing equipments. basic idea on ISO and Occupational Health & safety Practices

Should have training in relevant fields & good writing skills on technical reports, valid GCC driving license Mandatory.
