Job summary

Iquest Management Consultants is seeking an Assistant Engineer to support EM & Cable projects in the UAE. The role involves maintenance of 132/11kV, 33/11-6.6kV, and 11-6.6/0.4kV substations, and coordinating safety and quality procedures.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5–8 years of relevant experience in utilities or contracting/consulting, and be skilled in fault finding, troubleshooting, and emergency response. GCC driving license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and rectify faults in distribution substation equipment
• Identify and repair 33, 11 and 6.6 kV cable faults using testing equipment
• Coordinate Mobile Diesel Generator connections and operation
• Prepare technical reports and documentation

Position-Assistant Engineer - EM & Cable

Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University with minimum 5/8 years practical experience with an electrical utility and/or contracting/consulting organization. Should have adequate knowledge in relevant field for maintenance of 132/11kV, 33/11-6.6kV and 11-6.6/0.4kV substation equipment by applying standard procedures and safety practices. To have the quality of supervising and attending of complaint and emergencies and Corrective maintenance of distribution substation equipment, Mobile Diesel Generator connection & operation. To handle emergency breakdown complaints, trouble shooting and fault rectifications on distribution substation equipment. Should have experience in 33, 11 and 6.6 kV cable fault finding, identification and repairing of power and pilot cable faults through testing equipments. basic idea on ISO and Occupational Health & safety Practices
Should have training in relevant fields & good writing skills on technical reports, valid GCC driving license Mandatory.
