Job summary

MVP Tech GT LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an ELV Technician to install and service CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems. You will read technical drawings, install structured cabling, and work under the Project Engineer on site in Abu Dhabi.

The role requires hands-on use of hand and small power tools and the ability to work independently or in a team. Ideal candidates have CCTV installation experience, knowledge of IP surveillance, and a background in electronics or security

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education.
• IT Diploma is an asset but not required.
• 2+ years in security services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs security systems components, units and PCBs per Project Engineer instructions.
• Installs cabling for CCTV, Access control, Intrusion detection.
• Service CCTV, intrusions, access control in commercial/high-end residential environments.
• Travel to customer sites for installation and service work.
• Read and understand technical drawings and datasheets.

About the job ELV Technician - Abu Dhabi

JOB SUMMARY:
A typical qualifying background would include CCTV level experience and installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of related security systems
Candidate will be under general supervision of Project Engineer in charge of the project.Will be required to perform skilled work, including minor carpentry, drilling works as and when necessary.

KEY RESULTS AREAS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

• Installs security systems components, units and printed circuit boards following instructions from Project Engineer e.g. cameras, motion detectors, electronic locks etc.
• Installs structured cabling for various systems .i.e. CCTV, Access control, Intrusion detection etc.
• Install and service various Intrusion, CCTV, and Access Control Systems in both commercial and high end residential environments.
• Travel to various customer sites performing installation and service work.
• Be a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as in group settings
• Be well organized and able to multi-task
• Have good verbal and written communications skills
• Be experienced and able to use hand tools and small power tools e.g. drilling machines, screwdrivers & cutters
• Be able to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions
• Having prior education, training & knowledge of basic electronics, security systems e.g. IP Surveillance, Intrusion detection, Access control and\or electronic power supplies are all plusses
• Should have initiative to fabricate parts, cables to ensure an installation will be successfully executed
• Works closely with the Project Engineer
• Should haven knowledge of common safety practices

EDUCATION

• High School as minimum
• IT Diploma certification will be an asset

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years’ experience in security services companies
