Job summary

Johnson Controls, Abu Dhabi-based team, seeks a project engineer to design, estimate, coordinate, and execute low-voltage security systems across the Middle East. You will work with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and to spec.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and at least 3 years’ UAE experience in security systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project engineering in UAE low-voltage security systems.
• Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV, intercom, and network peripherals.
• Experience with gate barriers or intrusion systems is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and team-management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, planning, and project costing skills.
• Ability to produce clear, professional documents and client communications.
• Exposure to data LAN or PAVA in low-voltage environments is helpful.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across active sites.

Responsibilities

• Support design, estimation, coordination, and execution of physical security systems projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to meet specs and timelines.
• Assist in design and execution of security systems projects (access control, CCTV, intercom, network).
• Contribute to pre-sales and estimation by defining technical scope and cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor projects from design through delivery.
• Carry out site surveys and support installation planning.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for installation and monitor progress/quality.
• Ensure compliance with codes, QA/QC, and project specs.
• Represent the project team in the field with clients.
• Prepare professional project documentation and communications for clients and vendors.
