The ELV Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems in construction projects. This includes overseeing structured cabling, CCTV, access control, public address, fire alarm, BMS, and other low-voltage systems. The role requires close coordination with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Design & Engineering:
- Develop ELV system designs, specifications, and layouts based on project requirements.
- Review and approve ELV-related drawings, schematics, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
- Ensure designs comply with international and local codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Assist in preparing technical submittals and material approvals.
- Project Execution & Coordination:
- Supervise the installation and commissioning of ELV systems onsite.
- Coordinate with the consultant, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure proper integration of ELV systems with other MEP and civil works.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project schedules and milestones.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure proper execution of work.
- Testing, Commissioning & Handover:
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of ELV systems.
- Ensure all systems meet project specifications, functionality requirements, and client expectations.
- Prepare and review test reports, inspection reports, and handover documentation.
- Provide training and support to end-users and maintenance teams as required.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all ELV works are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation measures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Stay updated with relevant ELV codes, standards, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- At least 5-8 years in ELV systems within large-scale construction projects, preferably in Tier 1 companies.
- Certifications (preferred): BICSI, KNX, Cisco, Avaya, or other relevant ELV certifications.
- Expertise in ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarms, BMS, structured cabling, and networking.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), MS Office, and ELV design tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication for stakeholder coordination.
- Good English communication skills.
- Candidate must be readily available.
