Job summary

A leading company is seeking an experienced ELV Draughtsman in Abu Dhabi to prepare detailed CAD drawings for various ELV systems, including CCTV and Fire Alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. This role involves collaboration with engineers and project managers, site visits for accuracy, and maintaining documentation standards in compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an ELV Draughtsman.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with BIM modeling.
• Certification in AutoCAD or related drafting software preferred.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, layouts, and schematics for ELV systems, including but not limited to CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Public Address Systems, and Fire Alarm systems.
• Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination layouts based on project requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Revit (preferred), and other design software.
• Strong knowledge of ELV systems, standards, and installation methodologies.
• Familiarity with international standards like NFPA, BICSI, and TIA/EIA is an advantage.
• Maintain and update drawing documentation as per project revisions.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Verify that designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Assist in resolving technical issues related to designs during project implementation.
• Support tender and proposal teams with design inputs, including BOQs, material schedules, and conceptual layouts.
• Conduct site visits to ensure accuracy in as-built drawings.
• Review and validate drawings for quality assurance before submission
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Requirements

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an ELV Draughtsman in the construction, engineering, or related industry.
