Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, layouts, and schematics for ELV systems, including but not limited to CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Public Address Systems, and Fire Alarm systems.
- Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination layouts based on project requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Revit (preferred), and other design software.
- Strong knowledge of ELV systems, standards, and installation methodologies.
- Familiarity with international standards like NFPA, BICSI, and TIA/EIA is an advantage.
- Maintain and update drawing documentation as per project revisions.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Verify that designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Assist in resolving technical issues related to designs during project implementation.
- Support tender and proposal teams with design inputs, including BOQs, material schedules, and conceptual layouts.
- Conduct site visits to ensure accuracy in as-built drawings.
- Review and validate drawings for quality assurance before submission
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an ELV Draughtsman in the construction, engineering, or related industry.
- Proven experience with ELV systems and their integration
Preferred Attributes
- Certification in AutoCAD or related drafting software.
- Experience with BIM modeling.
- Knowledge of project management tools or software
Qualification
Diploma or degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
