ELV CAD Engineer

About this job:

The CAD Engineer's role is to work closely with the presales and engineering team to deliver every drafting requirement for projects. The role is responsible for performing Material Takeoffs, delivering equipment schedules, shop drawings, coordination drawings, SVG drawings, SSD drawings, and as-built drawings.

Roles, Responsibilities, Duties

1. To ensure project requirement is studied before commencing drafting works.
2. To ensure design intents, IFC drawings, and coordination drawings are studied and understood.
3. To ensure material take-offs are completed on time with the utmost quality.
4. To ensure shop drawings, SSD drawings, SVG drawings, ADMCC drawings, and as-built are prepared in accordance with project specifications and in full compliance with industry standards.
5. To ensure drawing logs are up to date at any point in the shared folder.
6. To ensure the equipment schedule is prepared and submitted to the project team.
7. To ensure both Khidmah’s and Khidmah’s clients' quality standards and specifications are being met.
8. To build and maintain strong relationships with the client’s Project team, document controller, and draftsmen.
9. To ensure the SIRA portal is uploaded for relevant projects' SVG drawings.
10. To ensure IFCs are properly evaluated, RFIs raised, and technical queries clarified well.
11. To ensure proper documentation is done and able to present the drawings to clients/consultants.
12. To promote the company’s solution/services/capabilities addressing or predicting client’s objectives while building long-term relationships with customers.
13. To ensure necessary technical training is attended and certifications are taken as scheduled and planned.
14. Ensure HSE compliance at all work activities by implementing safe work practices.
15. Report any HSE concerns to the line manager / HSE team for suitable actions.
16. Ensure emergency process and incident reporting procedures are understood and complied with. Where required take part in incident investigations.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree: Science or Engineering in Computers, Electronics, Electrical or Similar.
• AutoCAD 2D/3D course certification is mandatory.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in relevant fields – ELV AV, IT.
• Well-versed with SIRA SSD drawings, SVG drawings, ADMCC, and TRA regulations for the drawings.
