Job summary

The Arbor School Dubai seeks an ELL Learning Support Assistant to work with teachers and students, delivering targeted language support so English Language Learners can access the curriculum with confidence.

You will promote inclusion, support language development across subjects, and help students build independence and academic progress, occasionally leading learning activities with the class teacher in our engaging spaces.

Qualifications

• Very good English language skills required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in education or relevant field or LSA qualification.
• IELTS score 6.5 to 8.0.
• Two years’ experience working in a school or similar setting.
• Experience with the English National Curriculum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support English Language Learners (ELL) across multiple subjects and settings to access the curriculum.
• Collaborate with class teachers to support language development and participation in the wider curriculum.
• Lead learning activities under the direction of the class teacher in learning spaces.
• Promote inclusion and help students develop confidence, independence and academic progress.

Skills

Very Good English language skills

IELTS 6.5–8.0

Strong office/admin experience

Two years’ school experience

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in education or relevant field or LSA

Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification

T Level in Education
