Job Description

The client operates through two primary divisions:

  1. Automotive: Provides premium design, engineering, and product management services tailored to the automotive industry.
  2. Lifestyle: Specializes in luxury product design and branding solutions, elevating lifestyle brands through innovative design.

We are looking for an Electronics Hardware Engineer to spearhead the development of cutting-edge electronic devices. This role requires expertise in designing and developing complete electrical systems for automotive electronics and other smart gadgets. You will be responsible for circuit design, PCB development, component selection, firmware integration, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the end-to-end design and development of electronic systems for automotive products.
  2. Design and optimize schematics and PCB layouts using tools like Altium, Eagle, or KiCad.
  3. Select and integrate microcontrollers, sensors, power management circuits, and communication modules (e.g., Bluetooth, RF, Wi-Fi).
  4. Develop firmware architectures and collaborate with embedded software engineers for system integration.
  5. Conduct circuit simulations, prototyping, and debugging to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  6. Work closely with mechanical and industrial designers to ensure seamless product integration.
  7. Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Testability) analysis to improve production efficiency.
  8. Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC regulations, FCC, CE, and other industry standards.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, manufacturing) for product development from concept to production.
  10. Provide technical mentorship and leadership to junior engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and embedded systems.
  3. Experience in PCB design, high-speed signal integrity, and RF design.
  4. Proficiency in hardware design tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad.
  5. Familiarity with firmware development using C/C++ for microcontrollers (ARM, AVR, PIC, etc.).
  6. Experience in wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RF, IR, etc.).
  7. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, BOM optimization, and cost reduction strategies.
  8. Understanding of testing, debugging, and compliance standards for automotive electronics.
  9. Excellent problem-solving skills, innovation mindset, and attention to detail.
  10. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with IoT devices, smart home products, or wearable electronics.
  2. Knowledge of battery management systems and low-power design.
  3. Familiarity with Python or MATLAB for hardware testing and automation.
  4. Previous experience working with contract manufacturers and PCB fabrication houses.
