Job summary

PINAR ARABIA is seeking an Electrician Technician to join our Engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The role covers installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, automation and utility systems to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.

The technician will support equipment reliability, resolve faults and contribute to safe, efficient factory operations by collaborating with production and other departments.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with electrical maintenance in industrial settings.
• Familiarity with instruments, sensors and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, test, inspect and maintain electrical wiring, panels, circuit breakers, grounding systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and electromechanical faults using testing instruments.
• Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on process, filling, packaging and utility equipment.
• Identify and rectify faults in instrumentation, including PTs, TTs, flow meters and load cells.
• Trace PLC faults, investigate I/O card issues and support troubleshooting of automation and control systems.
• Adjust VFD parameters to support equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment, including printers and detectors.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to improve reliability and minimize breakdowns.
• Apply root cause analysis to identify and resolve breakdowns and recurring faults.
• Maintain records in the BMS system for connected loads and equipment.
• Prepare maintenance reports and communicate actions taken.

• Follow safe working procedures, use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), comply with Permit to Work (PTW) requirements and follow applicable HSE and food safety rules.
• Identify and promptly report hazards, incidents, equipment defects and unsafe operating conditions to the line manager.

• Collaborate with production teams and other company departments to resolve equipment issues and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Communicate maintenance actions, equipment defects, irregularities and outstanding requirements clearly.

CORE TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, assemble, test, inspect and maintain electrical wiring, panels, circuit breakers, grounding systems, power cables and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and electromechanical faults using appropriate testing and measuring instruments.
• Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on process, filling, packaging and utility equipment.
• Identify and rectify faults in instrumentation, including pressure transmitters (PTs), temperature transmitters (TTs), flow meters, load cells and related devices.
• Trace PLC faults, investigate I/O card issues and support troubleshooting of automation and control systems.
• Adjust VFD parameters as required to support equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment, including printers, metal detectors, X-ray devices and related systems.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize breakdowns.
• Apply root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment breakdowns and recurring faults.
• Maintain appropriate records in the BMS system for connected electrical loads and equipment.
• Maintain equipment, spare parts and supplies inventories to support timely maintenance activities.
• Prepare maintenance reports and communicate actions taken, equipment defects, irregularities and outstanding requirements.
• Use maintenance resources, equipment and supplies effectively.
• Follow company policies, procedures, work instructions, HSE requirements and food safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, industrial equipment maintenance or a related technical field
• Knowledge and experience in utilities is an additional advantage
• Hands-on experience in electrical installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and electromechanical equipment
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, panels, circuit breakers, grounding systems and power connections
• Experience in instrumentation troubleshooting, including PTs, TTs, flow meters and load cells.
• Knowledge of PLC fault tracing, I/O card troubleshooting and VFD parameter adjustments
• Ability to perform electrical testing using appropriate measuring and testing instruments.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical, automation, control and utility systems
• Root cause analysis, problem-solving and preventive maintenance skills
• Maintenance reporting, documentation and inventory management skills
• Knowledge of food industry operations, factory production and machinery maintenance.
• Working knowledge of English
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts and in indoor/outdoor industrial environments, where required by site operations
