Job summary

ADNOC Drilling Company is seeking an Electronics Technician to dismantle, repair, assemble and test electronic equipment used in pressure pumping. You will read electronics drawings, receive defective gear, and coordinate with the mechanic for parts.

JOB PURPOSE

Dismantle, repair, assemble and test the various electronic equipment used in pressure pumping.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Reads and understands the electronics drawings and circuits.
• Receives the various defective electronic equipment for repair.
• Analyses the false and orders for the required materials for repair in consultation with the Mechanic.
• Performs overhauling of electronic equipment as needed.
• Performs function test of the repaired equipment.
• Visits sites and locations for performing work as advised by the immediate supervisor.
• Co-operates with other sections during equipment trials.
• Maintains records of work performed, materials used and time consumed on every job and communicate to the immediate supervisor.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repair activities of the various equipment as instructed by the immediate supervisor.
• Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.

• Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.

Training

• Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

Tool Box

• Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Time Management

• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices and to ensure integrity and safety of assets.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports

• Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

• Has daily contact with immediate supervisor and other colleagues for daily work activities.
• Has daily contact with personnel in stores area when drawing items from store.

External

• None.
