Job summary

CBRE Excellerate is seeking an experienced Electrician to perform preventive and reactive electrical maintenance across managed facilities in the UAE. You will conduct PPM of SMDBs and DBs, insulation-testing, fault finding, and support safe restoration of electrical services in line with HSE and PTW requirements.

The role involves diagnosing faults, recommending corrective actions, and coordinating with the Technical Supervisor on major risks.

Qualifications

• ITI/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant electrical maintenance experience.
• FM/Facilities Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and reactive electrical maintenance across assigned facilities.
• Carry out PPM of SMDBs and DBs, testing and restoration of electrical services.
• Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions; ensure safety compliance.

1. About the position

The main purpose of this role is to perform preventive and reactive electrical maintenance across CBRE Excellerate managed facilities. The Electrician carries out PPM of SMDBs and DBs, insulation-resistance testing (meggering), electrical fault finding and repairs, and supports safe restoration of electrical services in accordance with HSE, PTW and applicable electrical requirements.

2. Decision Making Authority

This position has the authority to:

• Carry out assigned electrical PPM and reactive maintenance within competency and authorization.
• Isolate electrical circuits/equipment and stop work when unsafe conditions are identified.
• Diagnose electrical failures and recommend corrective actions and replacement components.
• Perform electrical testing and verify safe operation before energization/handover.
• Escalate major electrical faults, protection issues and operational risks to the Technical Supervisor.

3. Experience / Education

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Trade or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years relevant electrical maintenance experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in SMDB and DB preventive maintenance.
• Experience in insulation-resistance testing (meggering), electrical failure troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
• Facilities Management experience preferred.
