- Executes regular inspections on lights, power outlets, and all related electrical systems such as the distribution boards, substation, etc. as per the electrical checklist.
- Notes all required spare parts and consumable material and instructs the storekeeper of the requirements.
- Operates electrical equipment such as pumps, blowers, air handling units, etc.
- Fully complies with the energy conservation program.
- Understands and operates electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
- Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
- Performs maintenance activities in guest rooms like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, and repairing all types of hardware and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners / HVAC, and AC ducts.
- Performs maintenance activities in hotel public areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, and repairing all types of hardware, plumbing, electrical equipment, and cosmetic items.
- Performs domestic water and pool water daily chemical tests and ensures the chemical levels are in line with DM standards.
- Performs shower disinfection jobs in guest rooms and updates and records.
- Programs TVs and performs general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
- Tests, troubleshoots, and performs basic repairs on all types of equipment.
- Cleans, lubricates, protects, and otherwise maintains all tools and equipment in the hotel.
- Operates as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality.
- Available for any emergencies and acts in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during emergencies.
- Reads and understands blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdowns.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Duty Engineer or Chief Engineer.

Working in the same capacity, preferably in 4* or 5* hotels with UAE experience.
Good communication and customer contact skills; good problem-resolution skills.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
