An established industry player in hospitality is seeking a dedicated maintenance technician to ensure the smooth operation of facilities. In this role, you will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot various systems including electrical and plumbing. POSITION SUMMARY
Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment such as tools and radios. Identify, locate, and operate all shutoff valves for equipment and utility shutoffs for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in categories such as: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance. Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough cleanup of repair areas. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items. Program TVs and perform inventory duties related to housekeeping and engineering.
Use the Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance work. Perform repairs on landscaping and sprinklers. Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and adjusting temperatures.
Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are professional, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests sincerely. Adhere to quality standards, develop positive relationships with colleagues, and communicate professionally. Physically, lift objects up to 50 pounds unassisted, and heavier objects with assistance; move on stairs, ramps, ladders, and reach overhead or below the knees as needed. Use computers to enter work-related information. Perform other reasonable duties as requested.
