Job summary

Egis Group in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) is seeking a junior electrical/ICT engineer to support design of structured cabling, CCTV, access control, and security systems within building services projects.

The role involves preparing drawings, coordinating with MEP and architecture teams, and learning regulatory requirements under senior guidance. 0–2 years of experience and BIM familiarity are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer or a related engineering discipline.
• 0 to 2 years of experience. Internships or project experience in building services, ICT or security are an advantage.
• Basic understanding of IP networking, structured cabling and electronic security or AV systems.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit and MS Office. BIM experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of structured cabling, ICT infrastructure, wireless networks, IP telephony, IPTV, digital signage and background music systems.
• Assist with the design of CCTV, access control, intruder detection, intercom and security control rooms.
• Prepare drawings, schematics, equipment schedules, room data sheets and bills of quantities using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Help write basis of design reports, technical specifications and design narratives.
• Coordinate space, power, cooling and containment requirements with architecture, MEP, fire and interior design teams.
• Review contractor submittals and support site visits, testing and commissioning.
