Job summary

Egis is seeking an electrical/telecoms engineering professional in Dubai to assist in designing and coordinating ICT and security infrastructures for complex buildings. You will help develop cabling, CCTV, access control, IP networks, and related systems within project teams.

Ideal candidates have up to two years’ experience, strong drafting skills in AutoCAD or Revit, and a good grasp of BIM and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics/telecommunications/related engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience; internships/project work in building services, ICT or security preferred.
• Basic understanding of IP networking, structured cabling and electronic security or AV systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or Revit; BIM experience is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of structured cabling, ICT infrastructure, wireless networks, IP telephony, IPTV, digital signage and background music systems.
• Assist with the design of CCTV, access control, intruder detection, intercom and security control rooms design.
• Prepare drawings, schematics, equipment schedules and room data sheets.
• Prepare bills of quantities using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Help write basis of design reports, technical specifications and design narratives.
• Coordinate space, power, cooling and containment with architecture, MEP, fire and interior design teams.
• Review contractor submittals and support site visits, testing and commissioning.
• Track comments and actions; respond to client and authority reviews.
• Learn authority/regulatory requirements with support from senior team members.

About the Role

• Support the design of structured cabling, ICT infrastructure, wireless networks, IP telephony, IPTV, digital signage and background music systems.
• Assist with the design of CCTV, access control, intruder detection, intercom and security control rooms.
• Prepare drawings, schematics, equipment schedules, room data sheets and bills of quantities using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Help write basis of design reports, technical specifications and design narratives.
• Coordinate space, power, cooling and containment requirements with architecture, MEP, fire and interior design teams.
• Review contractor submittals and support site visits, testing and commissioning.
• Track comments and actions in registers and help prepare responses to client and authority reviews.
• Learn about authority and regulatory requirements (HCIS, SAIS, CST, NCA, Saudi Building Code) with support from senior team members.

What do we need from you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer or a related engineering discipline.
• 0 to 2 years of experience. Internships or project experience in building services, ICT or security are an advantage.
• Basic understanding of IP networking, structured cabling and electronic security or AV systems.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit and MS Office. BIM experience is an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication, with attention to detail.
