EDGE, based in Abu Dhabi, is seeking engineers to assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits for hardware development projects. The role provides hands-on support in prototyping, data acquisition, and documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant diploma, with workshop experience and strong soldering, circuit assembly, and measurement skills. Exposure to LabVIEW is a plus, and teamwork is essential for success in a fast-moving defense technology environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Electrical/Electronic Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of electronic components, circuit assembly, and soldering techniques.
• Experience with veroboard and copper PCB prototyping.
• Ability to read and understand basic circuit schematics.
• (Bonus) Exposure to LabVIEW or other data acquisition tools.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Rig Operations: Assemble and solder components on veroboards and copper PCBs based on provided schematics.
• Assist in development, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and systems.
• Support engineers in hardware prototyping, integration, and debugging.
• Conduct basic electrical measurements using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other lab instruments.
• Maintain organized documentation of circuit diagrams, component inventories, and test results.
• Adhere to standard safety and quality procedures when working with electrical components.
• (Bonus) Support LabVIEW setup and data acquisition tasks if experienced.
• Provide clear, timely updates to senior engineering staff on progress and issues.
