Job summary

A leading industrial services company in Dubai is seeking a service technician for maintaining Motor Control Centres and associated electrical installations. Candidates should have a Secondary School Certificate and relevant trade certification, alongside vocational education in mechanical or electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in handling industrial machinery and be able to work under pressure. This position requires attending 24/7 standby duties within the UAE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months vocational education with 3-5 years experience.
• 1 year ITI with 2-3 years experience preferred.
• 2 years ITI with 0-2 years experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Motor Control Centres & associated electrical installations.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.
• Troubleshoot system failures quickly.
• Install and test motor control systems as needed.
• Handle land and marine-based work within the UAE.

Education/Qualifications

• Secondary School Certificate (10th Standard) is a must.
• Relevant Trade Certification is preferred.

6 months Vocational Education / 1 year / 2 years ITI in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering is preferred.

Skills/Competencies/Experience

6 months Vocational Education with 3-5 years relevant experience.

1 year ITI with 2-3 years relevant experience.

2 years ITI with 0-2 years relevant experience.

Preferably having experience in the industrial sector working on production machineries, process plants, power plants, cement plants, dry dock, etc., as a service technician handling large Motor Control Centres including PLCs & VFDs.

Must be in the age group between 25 and 35 years.

Must be physically fit to perform the required job.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining complex Motor Control Centres & associated industrial electrical installations, achieving the required/assigned targets within the designated area of operations with minimum downtime, ensuring complete satisfaction of clients & end users.

Carry out preventive & corrective maintenance of larger motor control centres and associated control devices connected to potable water & fire pumps, diesel engines, industrial machinery, power generators, VFDs, PLCs, auto transformers, starter panels, etc.

Troubleshoot system failures on all of the above equipment/systems/accessories with minimum downtime.

Install motor control centres & associated control devices and test the systems when required.

Attend 24/7 standby duty as per duty roster.

Carry out land and marine-based work within the UAE.

Assist in condition surveys / snagging works of electrical systems when required.

Perform any other appropriate works as assigned from time to time.

Comply with company’s EHS & Q regulations.
