Electrical Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities for high-rise buildings, including lighting systems, wiring, emergency power systems, and other electrical components.
2. Lead a team of electricians, apprentices, and electrical technicians, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
3. Plan and delegate tasks to electrical team members, monitoring performance and providing guidance to meet project objectives.
4. Review and interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and building specifications to guide the installation of electrical systems and equipment.
5. Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in high-rise environments, including power distribution, lighting control systems, and backup power systems.
7. Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure proper installation, system integration, and adherence to safety protocols.
8. Coordinate electrical work with other trades (plumbing, HVAC, general contractors) to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems with other building systems.
9. Oversee the installation of electrical equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers, distribution panels, and lighting controls, ensuring that it meets project specifications and design.
10. Ensure that the electrical team is following all safety guidelines, conducting regular safety meetings, and adhering to OSHA and local safety regulations.
11. Maintain accurate records of daily work, labor hours, materials used, and safety compliance.
12. Monitor the supply of materials, tools, and equipment needed for electrical installations and repairs, ensuring they are readily available and properly maintained.
13. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, assisting with the troubleshooting of complex issues as needed.
14. Regularly report progress, challenges, and any potential delays to project managers and senior leadership.
15. Manage emergency electrical repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to building operations.
16. Ensure that electrical work is done efficiently, with energy conservation and sustainability in mind, wherever applicable.
