Job summary

Careers International in Dubai is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Supervisor to oversee electrical work on site, ensuring schedule and budget adherence.

The role requires leading a team of electricians, conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards, and coordinating resources for efficient project delivery. You will read blueprints, manage progress reports, and collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain quality.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical work is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Certifications: Valid electrician’s license; additional certifications in safety, project management, or electrical systems are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality checks on completed electrical installations to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and address any issues in workmanship, materials, or practices that could impact project quality or safety.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols on the job site to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and on-site inspections to identify and address hazards.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, including electrical and building regulations.
• Coordinate ordering and management of materials, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient resource use.
• Maintain inventory control, and ensure tools and materials are used properly and stored safely.
• Track resource usage and suggest cost-saving measures.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, labour hours, and incidents.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, team performance, and any issues encountered.
