Job description

The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all electrical installations, maintenance, and testing activities for fitout projects. The role involves ensuring that electrical works are completed on time, within budget, and according to safety and quality standards. The Electrical Foreman will oversee site teams, coordinate with subcontractors, and liaise with project engineers and site managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Supervision & Execution:

• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, wiring, low-current systems, and other fitout-related electrical works.
• Ensure all electrical works are carried out as per approved drawings, project specifications, and industry standards.
• Allocate tasks to electricians and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed efficiently and within schedule.
• Monitor daily site activities and report progress to project managers.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure proper workmanship.

Coordination & Communication:

• Coordinate with other trades (mechanical, civil, architectural) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Liaise with project engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and maintain smooth workflow.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on electrical work progress and challenges.

Health & Safety Compliance:

• Enforce electrical safety regulations and company HSE policies on-site.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for site workers.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards.

Material & Resource Management:

• Plan and request necessary materials, tools, and equipment in advance to prevent project delays.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of electrical materials to minimize wastage.
• Maintain site records, including work progress, material usage, and daily reports.

Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:

• Identify and resolve electrical issues that arise during installation or testing.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the workforce.
• Report major site challenges and propose solutions to project engineers or management.
