Job description

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Engineering Department in Dubai, the Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing of all electrical maintenance activities and projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a team of electricians and technicians, coordinate with other departments, and ensure that all electrical systems are functioning at optimal levels. Electrical Supervisor reports to Engineering Assistant Manager.

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the electrical maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in compliance with safety codes and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections, identify faults, and implement corrective and preventive maintenance measures.
  • Manage electrical projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members, fostering development and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments and respond to emergencies to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.

As an Electrical Supervisor, we expect from you:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, or Building Services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Previous international experience is preferred; Middle East and hotel pre-opening or renovation experience are considered strong advantages.
  • Solid expertise in electrical systems, components, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety codes, standards, and regulations, ensuring compliant and safe operations.
  • Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic tools, and familiarity with Building Automation Systems (e.g., BMS, InnComm) is beneficial.
  • Effective leadership, team coordination, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
