Job summary

A leading company in the maritime sector seeks an Electrical Superintendent to join their team. You will work closely with Technical Superintendents to maintain and modify electrical installations on ships. This role requires significant experience in the maritime field and proficiency in English. Occasional travel to ships or yards is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the maritime sector.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• EU citizenship preferred.

Short description

As an Electrical Superintendent, you work closely with the Technical Superintendent to prepare dockings and repairs to the electrical equipment. You communicate between the crew on the ships, suppliers, other specialist colleagues, and project employees.

Function description

As Electrical Superintendent, you are part of a team with other Electrical Superintendents, Technical Superintendents, and Project Engineers. This team is based in our Rotterdam office, with occasional travel to ships or yards. Your role supports the fleet by being involved in maintenance and modifications of electrical installations on ships and equipment.

• You advise the Technical Superintendent on the daily status of the ships' electrical systems.
• You determine requirements for electrical installations based on project needs.
• You propose technical solutions to meet project goals.
• You evaluate suppliers' technical proposals against requirements.
• You support the crew with electrical issues onboard.

Requirements

• Experience with SRI (Subsea Rock Installation), Heavy Lift, Large Hoppers, and Offshore Wind Installation Vessels.
• Minimum HBO level in electrical engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the maritime sector.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• EU citizenship and preferably residing in the Netherlands, due to project location and travel requirements.
