Job summary

WSP is seeking a Resident Engineer - Electrical to oversee design, construction, testing, commissioning and close-out of electrical works within the project scope. You will ensure compliance with contractual requirements, OpCo specs, international standards, and approved plans, while coordinating with the OpCo Project Manager, Principal Resident Engineer, contractors, and other stakeholders.

In this role you will lead on-site activities, enforce HSE practices, supervise QA/QC, manage changes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, certified by the Ministry of Higher Education.
• Minimum seven years of relevant consultancy experience.
• HSE certification such as IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
• Training in project management tools such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Primavera.
• Extensive HSE and safety training including OSHA 30-hour and first-aid.
• Competence assessed via technical interview and performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Maintain familiarity with contractual requirements for electrical works.
• Maintain visible site presence and participate in HSE walkthroughs and audits.
• Oversee HSE supervision plan and contractor implementation.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and OpCo specifications.
• Coordinate with Planning Engineer for critical electrical activities.
• Verify Quality Control records and supporting attachments with QA/QC.
