Job summary

WSP Middle East seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer Electrical to oversee electrical engineering activities on UAE infrastructure and construction projects. You will assist in coordinating with Resident Engineer, Contractors, and site teams to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery while aligning with project specs.

You will review submittals, monitor construction progress, and help resolve technical issues, applying strong knowledge of electrical principles and project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree an advantage.
• Proven experience in Assistant Resident Engineer or electrical/site engineering roles on large infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, construction methods, and site supervision.
• Experience reviewing submittals, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring QA/standards compliance.
• Proficient in engineering and project management software/tools; strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Resident Engineer in overseeing electrical engineering activities across UAE projects.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and method statements for compliance with specs and standards.
• Coordinate site inspections, monitor progress, and guide site supervision staff.
• Ensure HSE requirements are implemented according to policies and project specs.
• Support progress reporting, issue resolution, and project close-out activities.
