Job summary

D&A CONSULTING is seeking a highly experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to ensure and monitor the quality of construction against specifications and design drawings in UAE. The role requires attending site inspections, witnessing tests, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring regulatory compliance including DEWA standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, at least 7 years of experience including 2 years with a consultancy, and strong English proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction, with 4 years in local industry and 2 years with a consultancy as project engineer/site inspector.
• Proficient English; Arabic knowledge desirable; UAE driving license.
• Knowledge of DEWA regulations and DEWA projects experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend site inspections and coordination meetings with Contractors, Sub-contractors & Client to ensure electrical quality.
• Witness testing, commissioning, and handover inspections of electrical and low current systems.
• Review electrical design drawings prior to issuance and review as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
• Maintain QA/QC logs, track defects and ensure rectification within the construction program.
• Monitor health and safety activities on site and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Prepare monthly site visit logs and monthly inspection summary reports.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals aligned with DEWA approved drawings.
• Ensure installations comply with local regulations and standards.
• Interact with design teams, construction teams, and external suppliers.
