Job summary

Skatch inc. Maintenance Assistant role ensures smooth operation of electrical and mechanical equipment in the paint manufacturing facility through preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance.

You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/ITI in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, and has at least 4 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, paint, chemical or FMCG sectors, with

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years' maintenance experience in manufacturing (paint/chemicals/FMCG).
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, utilities and facility equipment (electrical and mechanical).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, drives, control panels, sensors and wiring.
• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, mixers, gearboxes, hydraulics & pneumatics.
• Support installation, commissioning and modification of new equipment and machinery.
• Monitor and maintain utilities (air compressors, air dryers, chillers, air conditioning etc.) to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and equipment history logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, fire & safety standards).
• Collaborate with production teams and all other stakeholders to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain proper inventory of tools, spare parts and consumables.
