Job summary

Sabin Plastic Industries LLC, based in Sharjah, seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to service and repair production machinery in a plastic manufacturing setting. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection moulding, extrusion and related equipment, read electrical diagrams, and troubleshoot PLC-based controls.

Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 4–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in a plastic manufacturing or industrial production environment is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with injection moulding, extrusion, and other plastic processing machinery.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, VFDs, motors, sensors, and electrical control panels.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical circuits.
• Understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and production machinery.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in plastic manufacturing machines and equipment.
• Maintain and repair injection moulding machines, extrusion machines, blow moulding machines and other plastic processing equipment.
• Inspect and maintain electrical control panels, motors, sensors, relays, contactors and circuit breakers.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical issues in PLC-based control systems.
• Monitor machine performance and minimize production downtime.
• Carry out routine electrical inspections and identify potential equipment failures.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Assist in installation, testing and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure machinery availability.
• Follow company HSE procedures and electrical safety standards including Lockout Tagout LOTO.
