Job summary

AIQU is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance professional to join our operations & electrical team in Sharjah on a 1-year contract with extension potential. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for UPS, DC systems, generators, LV panels, and fire/battery systems, respond to emergencies, and drive root-cause analyses.

You will lead technical teams, coordinate with external vendors, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting of E&M activities.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Maintenance on UPS, DC systems, generators, LV panels, fire and battery systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance; troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Lead and coordinate technical teams; manage work orders and training.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS, DC systems, generators, LV panels, fire systems, battery systems, and power distribution systems.
• Respond to emergencies and restore operations following malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot UPS, rectifiers, PLCs, diesel generators, ATS, firefighting systems, and related controls.
• Review E&M documents for accuracy; analyze failures to identify root causes.
• Create, manage, and close work orders; coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Provide regular training to the operations team; operate in a 24/7 environment.

We are hiring for one of our major clients for the below requirement

Employment Type: 1 year & extendable contract, long term contract, outsourced

Department & Division: Facilities Maintenance – Operations & Electrical and Power Plant

Notice Period: Immediate joiners to a maximum of 15-30 days of notice

Required Experience:

• Must have 4–8 years of relevant professional experience
• Perform day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance activities on UPS, DC systems, generators, LV panels, fire systems, battery systems, and power distribution systems.
• Conduct annual battery load testing for DC plants and UPS battery systems to ensure operational reliability.
• Respond to emergency situations and system contingencies to restore operations following component or system malfunctions.
• Perform in-depth component-level troubleshooting of UPS, rectifiers, PLCs, diesel generators and associated controls, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), firefighting systems, and electrical systems.
• Conduct quality checks of all Power and Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) documents and reports, ensuring the accuracy of data, information, and calculations.
• Analyze equipment failures and incident reports to identify root causes, improve system performance and reliability, and recommend or implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Carry out inspections of Power and E&M facilities to identify potential single points of failure and operational risks.
• Create, manage, and close work orders associated with assigned maintenance and operational activities.
• Lead and coordinate technical teams in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Provide regular technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions for the operations team.
• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to address emergency maintenance requirements.
• Be available to work in a 24/7 operational environment and extend working hours when required, particularly during emergencies or high-pressure situations.
