Electrical / Lighting Design Engineer

Dubai, UAE

Parsons is now hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer for our expanding portfolio of projects. We need engineers who are versatile, enthusiastic about working in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment, and who possess exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills. This role primarily supports the design functions for infrastructure and road tunnels, focusing on electrical equipment and systems. The candidate will apply electrical engineering techniques, review drawings, and ensure compliance with electrical standards and specifications for procurement and system installation.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare electrical engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, designs, specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
• Prepare detailed requisitions for electrical equipment and related materials, review supplier drawing submittals, and perform technical bid analyses.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and lower-level engineers working on the same project.
• Design electrical power distribution systems and prepare LV electrical and lighting designs for roads, underpasses, and tunnels using Dialux and Relux software.
• Design traffic signals.
• Calculate power cable sizing.
• Prepare and deliver technical PowerPoint presentations and technical design reports for clients.
• Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical design for large infrastructure and road projects.
• Proficiency with Dialux and Relux software.
• Basic understanding of ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, and other ELV systems.
• Knowledge of CIE 115, CIE 140, CIE 88 standards, and regional electricity authority regulations such as DEWA and SEWA.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Approval from DM/RTA is an advantage.
• Experience with AutoCAD is an advantage.
