Job summary

9E Global is seeking an Electrical Inspector - Site to oversee on-site electrical works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and health and safety standards. The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Electrical/building services Engineering and at least 10 years of construction supervision experience with a consultancy.

You will monitor contractor activities, document QA, and support project delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review and familiarize with project contract documents, drawings, specifications and health and safety requirements, and revisions.
• Monitor Contractor’s works to ensure compliance with project specs and contract requirements through site observations, measurements, inspections and testing.
• Maintain daily records of Contractor's deployed manpower, plant and equipment on site.
• Carry out inspections and site supervision activities as directed by the Resident Engineer or Senior Engineer.
• Record and document site activities within assigned inspection areas, including personnel, equipment used, nature and location of works, and construction methods.
• Monitor delivery of construction materials and report accordingly to ensure materials meet project requirements.
• Verify executed works comply with specified quality standards and project codes through regular inspections.
• Witness and inspect testing and commissioning works per project specification.

We are looking for a driven Electrical Inspector - Site to join our team.

Qualifications

A Diploma or Degree in Electrical/building services Engineering.

Business Development

Develop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.

Project Role

• Review and familiarize with the project contract documents, including drawings, specifications, and relevant health and safety requirements, along with any subsequent revisions or updates.
• Monitor the Contractor’s works to ensure compliance with the project specifications and contract requirements through site observations, measurements, inspections, and testing, while tracking the progress of quality assurance activities.
• Maintain daily records of the Contractor’s deployed manpower, plant, and equipment on site.
• Carry out inspections and site supervision activities as directed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Senior Engineer.
• Record and document site activities within the assigned inspection areas, including the Contractor’s personnel, equipment used, nature and location of works, reasons for activities, and the construction methods adopted.
• Monitor the delivery of construction materials and report accordingly, ensuring that materials used on site comply with project requirements.
• Implement and follow all site instructions issued by the Engineer and ensure adherence to the established quality management procedures.
• Verify that the executed works comply with the specified quality standards, performance requirements, and applicable codes through regular inspections.
• Witness and inspect the testing and commissioning works as per Project specification

• Review and comment on company procedures using the feedback system.

• Review and comment on deliverables produced by Engineers & Technicians at key stages through a project.
• Demonstrates all round technical competence.
• Have knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment.
• Have knowledge of analytical concepts.
• Should be responsible for Quality Management (QA) for their team.
• Have knowledge of our delivery in CAD standards and 3D working.

QHSE Responsibilities

• Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.
• Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace.
• Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
• Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
• Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
