Electrical Inspector

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with local regulations, national codes, and project specifications.
2. Verify that work is carried out in accordance with approved electrical designs.
3. Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the integrity of electrical systems.
4. Identify and address any deviations from approved plans.
5. Create detailed inspection reports outlining findings, deviations, and corrective actions.
6. Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections.
7. Collaborate with electrical contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient inspections.
8. Provide guidance on meeting electrical requirements during construction.
9. Oversee electrical testing and commissioning activities to ensure proper functionality of systems.
10. Verify the performance of electrical components and equipment.
11. Ensure that all electrical work meets safety standards and regulations.
12. Identify and address safety hazards related to electrical installations.
13. Communicate inspection results to clients, project teams, and relevant authorities.
14. Provide guidance on addressing any non-compliance issues.
15. Stay updated on industry trends, electrical codes, and emerging technologies.
16. Recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and safety of electrical installations.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
2. Professional certification as an electrical inspector.
3. Minimum of 10 years of experience as a consultant in electrical inspection or a related field.
4. Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and regulations.
5. Experience working in the construction industry, preferably in electrical installation or inspection.
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document deficiencies or violations.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project managers and contractors.
8. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
10. Physical ability to climb ladders, navigate construction sites, and perform inspections in various weather conditions.
