Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with local regulations, national codes, and project specifications.
- Verify that work is carried out in accordance with approved electrical designs.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the integrity of electrical systems.
- Identify and address any deviations from approved plans.
- Create detailed inspection reports outlining findings, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections.
- Collaborate with electrical contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient inspections.
- Provide guidance on meeting electrical requirements during construction.
- Oversee electrical testing and commissioning activities to ensure proper functionality of systems.
- Verify the performance of electrical components and equipment.
- Ensure that all electrical work meets safety standards and regulations.
- Identify and address safety hazards related to electrical installations.
- Communicate inspection results to clients, project teams, and relevant authorities.
- Provide guidance on addressing any non-compliance issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, electrical codes, and emerging technologies.
- Recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and safety of electrical installations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Professional certification as an electrical inspector.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a consultant in electrical inspection or a related field.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and regulations.
- Experience working in the construction industry, preferably in electrical installation or inspection.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document deficiencies or violations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project managers and contractors.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, navigate construction sites, and perform inspections in various weather conditions.
