Electrical Inspector

The Electrical Inspector is responsible for ensuring that electrical installations, systems, and components meet applicable safety standards, codes, and project specifications. This role involves conducting detailed inspections at various construction and maintenance sites, reviewing technical documentation, and verifying contractor compliance. Working within the UAE's regulatory framework, the inspector plays a critical role in quality assurance, supporting safe and efficient project execution in both public and private sector developments.

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting on-site inspections of electrical works to ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and approved drawings.
2. Reviewing and verifying installation of wiring, panels, lighting systems, grounding, and switchgear for conformity and safety.
3. Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and project engineers to address non-compliance issues.
4. Preparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining accurate records of findings and corrective actions.
5. Monitoring testing and commissioning processes, including insulation resistance and continuity tests.
6. Ensuring compliance with DEWA, ADDC, and other relevant UAE regulatory authorities.
7. Verifying electrical materials and equipment for compliance with project specifications and approved submittals.
8. Supporting final inspections and project handovers in coordination with QA/QC and HSE teams.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical inspection, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects in the UAE.
3. Strong knowledge of UAE and international electrical standards.
4. Certification as an Electrical Inspector or equivalent.
5. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and electrical layouts.
6. Familiarity with safety protocols and inspection tools.
7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
8. Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and a commitment to quality assurance.
