Job summary

BESIX in Dubai seeks an Electrical Engineer to manage electrical maintenance for existing facilities. You will ensure safe, reliable operation of lighting, power distribution and control systems, and lead preventive/corrective maintenance activities.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering, and willingness to work night shifts or weekends for scheduled maintenance. Collaborative with facility teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge of LV systems, switchgear, PLCs and lighting control systems.
• Proven experience in Facility Management or similar maintenance-focused environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems across existing facilities.
• Ensure safe, continuous and efficient operation of LV electrical systems, switchgear, lighting and control systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults to minimize downtime and operational impact.
• Ensure full compliance with local authority requirements, safety regulations and international standards.
• Monitor, maintain and optimize power distribution and lighting control systems.
• Support inspections, audits and authority approvals related to electrical installations.
• Coordinate with facility management teams, contractors and service providers.
• Prepare maintenance reports, schedules and technical documentation.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
