Job summary

One Health in United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to support safe, reliable operation and maintenance of electrical systems across assigned facilities in Abu Dhabi. The role includes technical supervision, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements.

You will supervise technicians, coordinate with customers and suppliers, and develop maintenance schedules and budgets to optimize energy use and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in electrical systems operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical supervision.
• Facilities Management or building maintenance experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• HSEEQ and electrical safety requirements.
• Contract and service delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the team of technicians and service providers to ensure civil works are carried out professionally and on time.
• Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure quality work meets best practice.
• Coordinate between customers and team members for satisfactory communication and completion of works.

Main Purpose of the Job -

Responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems across assigned facilities. The role provides technical expertise, supervises maintenance activities, troubleshoots operational issues, supports preventive and corrective maintenance, monitors energy performance, and ensures compliance with contractual, safety, and quality requirements.

Area of Responsibility :

Supervision:

• Supervise the team of technicians and service providers to ensure that all civil works are carried out in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure that each team member executes their work to meet industry best practice.
• Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality of work meets industry best practice.
• Supervise the co-ordination between One Health's customers and the team members to ensure satisfactory communication and completion of works.
• Provides information, detailed cost estimates, and specifications equipment, materials for specific projects.
• Coordinates annual, monthly, and weekly work schedules for servicing and maintenance of works
• Determine the need and feasibility of major repairs.
• Provide expert judgment and analyses for engineering design to ensue owner's requirements are fully documented, minimize first cost, improve energy efficiencies, ensure standards are met and coordinate electrical and control requirements.
• Prepare and monitor civil works budgets.
• Prepares and maintains reports and logs maintenance needs, equipment problems.

Operations:

• Follow the day-to-day operations of the HV equipment.
• Meet project objectives such as efficiency, cost savings, energy conservation, operator convenience, safety, environmental quality; estimating relevance, time, and costs.
• Develop operational solutions by defining, studying, estimating, and screening alternative solutions; calculating economics; determining impact on total system.
• Anticipate operational problems by studying operating targets, modes of operation, unit limitations; monitoring unit performance.
• Improve operational quality results by studying, evaluating, and recommending process redesign; implementing changes; contributing information and opinion to unit design and modification teams.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Provide operationalmanagement information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing operating and engineering data and trends.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Accomplish engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Full knowledge of the details of the contracts for each site.
• Follow the complaints coming to One Health Service Desk.
• Organize meetings with the clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Full knowledge about the preventive maintenance tasks.
• Identify operational problems by observing and studying system functioning and performance results; investigating complaints and suggestions; interviewing process supervisors and operators; completing troubleshooting procedures.
• Identify operational priorities by assessing operational objectives; determining project objectives, such as, efficiency, cost savings, energy conservation, operator convenience, safety, environmental quality; estimating relevance, time, and costs.
