Job summary

Atkins Middle East is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a minimum of eight years of experience. The role focuses on analysis and design of MV/LV networks and street lighting schemes, reporting to a design manager, and taking a leading role in network modelling and project design.

The candidate should possess an Electrical Engineering degree, be skilled with lighting software, and capable of producing clear English reports while communicating effectively with colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 8 years post graduate experience in electrical distribution consultancy.
• Proficiency with lighting software such as Dialux and Relux is preferred.
• Ability to produce clear technical reports in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Demonstrated high level of design expertise.
• Good IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.
• Able to work with and manage technicians.
• Strong presentational skills.

Job description

We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 8 years experience. Candidates shall have a high level of expertise in electrical distribution and street lighting networks.

Role and responsibilities

The Engineer will be responsible for the carrying out of analysis and design of MV and LV networks as well as street lighting schemes. The successful candidate will report to a design manager in the Infrastructure Department. The successful candidate will take a leading role in the department, particularly with respect to network modelling and design and will be capable of providing planning, leadership and technical expertise in management of complex and interdisciplinary projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or other appropriate qualification.
• Minimum of 8 years post graduate experience in electrical distribution consultancy work.
• Ideally, shall be proficient in the use of lighting software such as Dialux, Relux etc.
• Able to produce technical reports in English in a clear and concise form.
• Able to communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients
• Demonstrate a high level of expertise in design
• Competent in using IT including Word, Excel, Power-point, emails and the Internet
• Able to work with and manage technicians
