Job summary

OceanTech Solutions in Sharjah, UAE is seeking an Electrical Draughtsman to join our marine engineering team and support offshore projects.

You will prepare electrical layouts, SLDs and wiring diagrams for vessels and platforms, using AutoCAD and related drafting tools to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of marine or offshore electrical drafting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and other drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Draft electrical equipment layouts, lighting layouts, cable routing, MCT penetration details, and installation details for marine vessels and offshore platforms.
• Prepare single line diagrams (SLDs) and schematic diagrams using AutoCAD; develop panel GA drawings and termination diagrams.
• Coordinate with electrical designers, engineers and project teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance with classification society rules (ABS, DNV, BV, etc.).
• Assist in creating as-built drawings post project completion.
• Maintain drawing registers and documentation for revision control.
• Understand and interpret technical specifications, P&IDs, and electrical load lists.
• Ensure that all drawings are completed within project deadlines and adhere to company and client requirements.

DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• 1. 3- 5 years of proven experience in marine or offshore electrical drafting.
