Job description

We are currently seeking an Electrical Designer, reporting directly to the HOD, to join our Electrical team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

About the role :

In this role, you will ensure the technical integrity of the Electrical deliverables for the project, ensuring compliance with the work scope and applicable international standards. You will bring your technical and industry experience, along with practical engineering skills, to deliver quality, accurate, and timely work to Technip Energies and its clients. You will be dedicated to one or several projects requiring a higher technical level and will oversee junior engineers' work.

About You

We would love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements :

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
• 6-11+ years of experience in Electrical design and engineering of oil & gas / large industrial projects
• Well versed with ETAP Software; SPEL Software is mandatory for this role
• Significant experience in preparing Electrical design basis, evaluation, and specification of Electrical equipment, automation systems, package items, and Electrical Bulk items
• Experience in power system analysis studies such as Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Transient Stability, Harmonic Analysis, Arc flash, Protection Relay Coordination, etc.
• Thorough knowledge of regulations, codes, standards, and a good understanding of onshore & offshore engineering practices applicable to electrical design for oil and gas facilities
• Experience in brownfield projects, including preparation of adequacy reports and modification scope of work for existing equipment
