Description

In this role, you will design and develop compliant electrical systems for crane applications using SolidWorks Electrical, supporting cross-functional teams from component selection to testing and documentation.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Create and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts in SolidWorks Electrical
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers and project teams to integrate electrical and mechanical designs
  • Select and specify electrical components (PLC, drives, sensors, motors, contactors, cables) for crane applications
  • Ensure designs meet relevant safety, EMC, and performance standards (EN, IEC, UL, etc.)
  • Support procurement by preparing bill of materials (BOM) and technical datasheets
  • Generate clear electrical documentation (assembly drawings, cable schedules, installation instructions)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues during prototyping and commissioning
  • Liaise with vendors and third-party certifiers for component approvals and testing
