Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical systems used in industrial, marine, or renewable energy applications. This role requires strong knowledge of PLCs, control circuits, power distribution, battery systems, solar integration, and will include support for procurement of electrical components and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

·Design and develop complete electrical systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.

·Develop and review AC and DC power distribution systems and control circuits.

·Specify and design control panels and components for automation and power systems.

·Ensure proper selection and integration of components such as relays, contactors, circuit breakers, batteries, and inverters.

·Work closely with mechanical, software, and installation teams to ensure seamless system integration.

·Apply best practices in the design of battery storage systems, including lithium and AGM technologies.

·Integrate and support solar power systems, including inverters, MPPT controllers, and PV layouts.

·Interpret and apply international electrical standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL) to ensure compliant and safe designs.

·Prepare bill of materials (BOM), technical documentation, and testing procedures.

·Support the procurement process by selecting components, preparing technical specifications, and coordinating with suppliers.

·Provide assistance during installation, field testing, and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

·Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical system design.

·Good knowledge and understanding of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, WAGO, etc.).

·Strong experience in designing control circuits for automation and protection systems.

·Solid understanding of AC and DC power systems, including distribution, protection, and grounding.

·Working knowledge of battery technologies, including sizing and integration.

·Familiarity with solar PV systems, including wiring, protection, and inverter configuration.

·Proficient in using electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).

·Strong attention to detail, organizational, and documentation skills.

·Good verbal and written communication skills.

·Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

·Experience in technical procurement or supporting sourcing of electrical components is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

·Experience in marine, automotive, renewable energy, or industrial automation sectors.

·Knowledge of standards such as IEC 61439, UL 508A, or ISO 10133/13297 for marine systems.

·Hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, and technical support.

·Experience with SCADA or HMI systems is a plus.
