Job summary

eigermarvelhr seeks an accomplished Electrical Design Engineer in the UAE to lead electrical building services design for residential, commercial, hospitality, and high-rise developments, ensuring compliance with UAE authority regulations.

You will design, coordinate, and submit authority documents, perform calculations, review drawings, and support project execution from concept to construction, leveraging DEWA/SEWA knowledge and international standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of Electrical Design experience in Building Services/MEP Consultancy.
• Experience with UAE DEWA/SEWA, Civil Defence, and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, and high-rise developments.
• Prepare electrical design calculations, load schedules, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit calculations, and technical reports.
• Develop detailed layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and authority submission drawings.
• Coordinate: Power Distribution, Lighting & Emergency Lighting, Small Power, Earthing & Lightning Protection, ELV, Fire Alarm systems.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection teams.
• Prepare authority submission documentation and respond to authority comments.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, DEWA, SEWA, Civil Defence requirements, IEC, NFPA, and applicable international standards.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications.
• Attend client meetings and project review meetings; provide technical support during construction and site execution.

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Design Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Building Services / MEP Consultancy to join our growing team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing electrical systems for residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and high-rise developments while ensuring compliance with UAE authority regulations and international standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, authority submissions, and technical support of electrical building services projects from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, and high-rise developments.
• Prepare electrical design calculations, load schedules, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit calculations, and technical reports.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical Design within Building Services / MEP Consultancy.
• UAE/GCC consultancy experience is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, villa, and high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of: UAE Electrical Regulations DEWA, SEWA & Civil Defense requirements IEC Standards NFPA Standards Energy Efficiency Regulations
• Proficiency in: AutoCAD Revit MEP Dialux / Dialux Evo ETAP (or equivalent software) Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of authority submissions and engineering coordination.
• Excellent analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
