What will I be doing?

As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to food safety standards and regulations governing all food handling operations, in accordance with local legal mandates and company policies. You will lead the team to prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of guests, team members, and others interacting with the hotel’s activities. Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Implement and monitor compliance with prerequisite programs based on HACCP Food Safety Management system and Abu Dhabi Municipality requirements.
  2. Conduct periodic food safety inspections in food-related areas and communicate findings for corrective actions.
  3. Perform daily inspections of all food & beverage areas, including hygiene policies and sickness exclusion protocols.
  4. Ensure proper documentation of HACCP records such as sanitation, storage, and temperature controls.
  5. Lead internal audits of the HACCP system and communicate results to relevant departments.
  6. Manage non-conformity reports, corrective actions, and management reviews related to food safety.
  7. Ensure regular testing of food, water, and ice samples by accredited laboratories.
  8. Conduct food labeling checks and monitor food production processes for safety and quality.
  9. Train team members on preventing cross-contamination and proper food handling practices.
  10. Oversee temperature controls and proper storage of high-risk foods.
  11. Manage deep cleaning schedules and evaluate their implementation.
  12. Report on HACCP system effectiveness and suggest improvements to the General Manager.
  13. Investigate guest complaints related to food safety and initiate corrective actions.
  14. Monitor food suppliers to ensure hygiene standards and proper receipt of items.
  15. Provide training and maintain records related to food safety measures.
  16. Lead sustainability initiatives aligned with Hilton’s Travel with Purpose.
