Job summary

The Hidden VC is seeking an EHS Manager for a part-time, remote position based in the United Arab Emirates. You will develop and oversee environmental, health, and safety practices in a distributed, digital environment, assess risks for remote work, and advise on incident response and safe work practices.

You will create and update EHS policies, coordinate training, and report to leadership to integrate EHS into planning and budgeting for a safe, healthy work culture.

Role Description

The EHS Manager at The Hidden VC is a part-time, remote role responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, health, and safety practices within a distributed, primarily digital work environment. Day-to-day tasks include assessing potential health and safety risks related to remote operations and occasional in-person events, creating and updating EHS policies, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. The role involves coordinating training programs, preparing safety guidelines, and advising team members and partners on safe work practices and incident response procedures. The EHS Manager will collaborate with leadership to integrate EHS considerations into operational planning and budget decisions, and provide timely reporting and recommendations to support a safe and healthy work culture.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Experience with budgeting and resource planning related to EHS programs and safety initiatives.
• Background in medicine, occupational health, or a related field to evaluate health risks and support appropriate safety measures.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training related to environmental, health, and safety topics.
• Knowledge of relevant EHS regulations and standards applicable to remote and occasional in-person work settings.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a part-time capacity, and maintain clear documentation.
• Professional certification in EHS, occupational health, or safety management is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental health, occupational safety, public health, or a related discipline is beneficial.
